...to examine, through selection, juxtaposition and categorization, the hidden biases of the medium.

the site will witness an excess of production depending on the interactions and the rate of production. It will work like a silly machine processing, organising, analysing images using various approaches. The artist takes turns to interact with the piece on site multiple times during the exhibitons duration. The actions/activations are conducted keeping in mind safe space guidelines, all forms of expressions are welcome. Material will be made available, participants are allowed to bring what they have. The sessions could be different durations where artists are present inviting participants to respond. With permission the responses are recorded and will end up being part of the show.
the office xerox machine or some kind or printer scanner set up is essential. The best option will be to have a machine from the museum printing apparatus made available for the days of the show. This machine which enables reproduction, scaling, erasing, deteriorating, stretching the images exposed to it will be an important element of the show. It will be operated under supervision only in the presence of the curators either during collective making or individual production sessions. There will be a limitation on the amount of paper used and the making is flexible according to the availability of the materials. Paper stocks, ink, adhesive.

like the printer a shredder is also an important element. The production of waste and the paper scraps hence produce are stored in the hope that they are raw materail to making objects. These objects also form part of the field of objects made present. It also brings to fore the nature of labor involved in making art.
Larry Sultan and Mike Mandell set up their experimental project space/installation/sandbox called the Newsroom at the University of California, Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (then called the University Art Museum).

an edition of 25 handmade books. All the books had three parts assigned by the colored papers used. The first section was a response to the second section. The archival material was gathered over a period of time from a range of sources but mostly secondhand books. It seemed to be reosnating curatorial aspirations and hence it made sense to give it a shape. The books are bound using a simple binding technique using found fabric for holding the spine. The reflective covers allow to record the marks of handling of the book, it registering the wear and tear. The books are designed to not not settle in book shelves or remain on coffee tables. This extensive publication has a lot of visuals and text celebrating and asking via the excess of visual information and associations.

To begin with repairing by understanding vision, representation and their inherent biases which are often archaic ideas reshaped to fit the current scenario, culture and politics have become stagnant.
